1. How long does my hair need to be before I come in?
    • We ask that you have at least 7-10 days of hair growth before your first Brazilian treatment, 4-7 days hair growth for underarms, and 10-14 days hair growth for legs, eyebrows, and facial hair. With leg hair, longer is better! If hair is too short you may be asked to reschedule in order to ensure you have the best results after your first appointment.
  2. Can I get sugaring done on my bikini/brazilian area during my monthly cycle?
    • Yes! While you may be more sensitive during the service, we do not recommend rescheduling because of your period for two reasons: it is important to have the sugaring done consistently to achieve the best results, and if you reschedule you may end up waiting longer than you’d like for your next appointment. However, we understand that some women prefer not to come in during this time and we will work with you to reschedule appropriately- your comfort is our main concern!
  3. How long will the appointment take for my first Brazilian?
    • Plan on being at Sugar Bar for at least 30-45 minutes for your first Brazilian. The actual hair removal process can take anywhere from 20-30 minutes for the first time, depending on you, your skin, and hair. If you are running more than 10 minutes late for your first appointment, we will have to reschedule you to ensure the proper amount of time for the service.
  4. How long will my first Brazilian last?
    • This depends on how long you let the hair grow out for your first visit, how you were removing your hair prior to sugaring, and how fast your hair grows in general. Most clients are smooth for 2-3 weeks after their first Brazilian. We recommend re-booking 3-4 weeks after your first appointment- the goal is to catch the hair in the beginning growth phase, therefore permanently reducing as much hair as possible within the first 6 months of consistent sugaring.
  5. I’m getting married- how soon before my wedding/honeymoon should I come in for my first Brazilian?
    • While we recommend coming in at least twice before your honeymoon to ensure smoothness and client satisfaction, you are safe to sugar any point up to the day before your wedding/honeymoon. With sugaring there is little to no downtime after your first service (meaning redness and irritation that lasts more than 15 minutes post-treatment). Most brides do their first Brazilian/ underarm service 4.5 weeks before the wedding, and the second service just 1-2 days before the actual wedding date.
  6. I’m under 18 years old. Can I get a Brazilian?
    • With a parent or guardian present to sign your initial paperwork/consent form, you are able to have a Brazilian hair removal treatment as a minor. Please let us know prior to booking your appointment that you are not 18 years of age and that your parent or guardian will be present to give consent for your service. If you are under 18 and do not have a parent present for consent, we will reschedule your appointment.
